How to Apply Shimmer Body Oil
Start with two or three drops of GLTRverse Body Shimmer Oil, warm them between your fingertips or sweep them on with the Shimmer Brush, and build slowly. Focus on the areas you want to catch the light rather than applying a thick layer everywhere.
1. Decide where you want the light
Collarbones, shoulders, arms and legs are natural places to begin. For an open neckline, a little shimmer along the collarbones can be enough. With a sleeveless outfit, concentrate on the tops of the shoulders. For legs, blend a small amount along the area you want to highlight, then soften the edges.
GLTRverse shimmer oil is made for the body. Do not treat a body product as an eyeshadow or assume it is intended for the face. Check the directions on your own bottle before applying it.
2. Use a small first amount
Apply a thin layer, blend, then step back and look at the finish. You can add a little more where needed. Starting small gives you more control over the intensity and makes it easier to keep the glow exactly where you want it.
Halo gives a soft gold reflection; Amber brings a deeper bronze-gold tone. Stardust has the strongest shimmer of the three, so begin lightly if you want a subtle result.
3. Blend with fingertips or the brush
Fingertips work well for a small area. For a broader sweep across a shoulder or leg, the Shimmer Brush helps spread the oil evenly. Use gentle strokes and blend the edge of the application so that there is no abrupt line between shimmer and bare skin.
Keep hands and tools clean. If your skin reacts easily, follow the product guidance and patch test first. Stop using a product that causes irritation.
4. Let the finish settle before dressing
Give the oil time to dry down instead of putting clothing straight onto a freshly applied layer. Check how it feels on your skin. The amount you use and your routine can affect how quickly it settles; follow the packaging directions rather than relying on a fixed number of seconds.
5. Remove it with your normal body wash
GLTRverse's body-oil directions recommend your normal shower and body wash for removal. Wash gently and rinse the skin. Clean the applicator according to its care instructions so it is ready for the next use.
Can I add more for an evening look?
